Microsoft has sold 40 million Windows 8 licenses

microsoft published that they have sold 40 million windows 8 licences just few months after was made known by Tami Reller, the Microsoft executive who, together with Julie Larson-Green, followed in Steven Sinofsky’s footsteps to lead the Windows business unit after he unexpectedly left the company shortly after the Windows 8 launch. microsoft also added that the launch of Windows 8 at the end of October also gave way for the grand opening of the Windows Store. That is to say that there more apps in the Windows Store at launch than any other app store at their launch and since then, the number of apps in the Windows Store has doubled.
