Woow! this is amazing, three Nigerian undergraduates at
university of lagos have won the Google Apps Developer Challenge for the
Enterprise/small business solutions category in sub-saharan Africa.
They created an interface that creates application forms by
simple drag and drop gestures, they called it the “form + application software.
The user can create forms such as; curriculum vitae(cv) or resume submission forms for businesses and
coursework submission page for lecturers.
The students: Bolutife Ogunsola,
Michael Adeyeri and Willie Aniebiet. They were given a wholesome prize of
$20,000 and google chromebooks. Their school’s department was also rewarded
with $18,000.
The
program manager,Google, Emeka Afigbo stated: “Our
expectation is that this motivates more young Nigerian developers to develop
apps that change the way we live in Nigeria and Africa at large.”
